Job Title: Business Education Instructor
Purpose: To teach students in any business education subject area; to provide students a role model; to help students discover abilities and develop them for use in life; to give students knowledge of the field and an appreciation (cognitive and affective).

- College Degree
- Certification in business education
- Possibly work experience in field
- Knowledgeable in area of business
- Understanding of current trends in business
- Desire to work with young people

General responsibilities:
- Maintain discipline within the classroom to allow for a good learning environment.
- Maintain student records: attendance, grades, etc.
- Provide students with up-to-date information in subject area.
- Give encouragement to students and others.
- Supervise all students during passing and open time.
- Explain subject matter, provide learning activities, and answer questions.
- Encourage students to participate in class.
- Establish goals and objectives for each class.
- Serve as a role model for students.
- Keep parents and public informed.
- Demonstrate a caring and cooperative spirit to faculty.
- Respond in a sharing of ideas with administration, working together to support the general purpose of the school.

- Willingness and flexibility to adopt new teaching strategies into their classroom.
- Prepare students for local, state, and national summative assessments.
Term of Employment: As per negotiated teacher agreement
Payment Rate: According to Certified Salary Schedule
Evaluation: Performance effectiveness will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education Policy of Certified Personnel.
